The Rabbinical College of America announces the first class in a new series of community education programs.

Following a Chanukah ceremony in the New Jersey Assembly chambers yesterday, Acting Governor Richard Codey joined Rabbi Moshe Herson, Dean of the Rabbinical College of America and Philip Levine of Flemington, in a mechanical lift to kindle the 16-foot Chanukah menorah at the steps of the New Jersey State House.

Weiss, of Hartford, Connecticut, along with Andrea and Bryan Bier, of Livingston, will be receiving honorary doctorate degrees at the National Founders Dinner of the Rabbinical College of America. The event will be held on Sunday, May 21 at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel, East Rutherford, New Jersey.
