The Rabbinical College of America announces the first class in a new series of community education programs.
The Rabbinical College of America is beginning a series of adult education classes as a service to the Jewish community of New Jersey and the surrounding areas. For many years the Rabbinical College has been a driving force in the New Jersey Jewish community, with 41 outreach centers throughout the State in addition to its traditional yeshiva programs, rabbinical ordination program and network of summer camps.
As the College continues to grow and expand, it has hired Simcha Kanter as director of Special Programming. He will focus on enhancing programs of learning for all age groups.
Rabbi Moshe Herson, Dean of the college, has emphasized, "We want to be sure that we provide all the members of our community with an opportunity to connect to their heritage and appreciate the depth of Judaism."
Classes will cater to all levels of knowledge and observance, providing the beginner with a strong foundation while adding a new perspective to even the most knowledgeable.
The first class in the series will focus on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, known as the "High Holy Days", and will feature classes in Talmud, personal development, Jewish Law, philosophy, and more. Lectures will be given by the professors of the Rabbinical College, comprised of top Jewish educators and scholars from all over the world. By drawing from the depths of Jewish tradition and scholarship, the classes reveal profound insights into the holidays and explore their relevance to our lives. Appropriately, the classes will be held on September 18th, shortly before the Rosh Hashanah holiday. Registration for the classes is free, and includes a complimentary kosher breakfast and lunch.
For information and registration call Simcha Kanter, Director of Special Programs, at (973) 539-8736.
