An impressive occasion held today in Berlin in the presence of thousands of Jews and dozens of public figure the new and glamorous Chabad Jewish Center was inaugurated. Among the high officials present were: the foreign minister who temporarily serves as the prime minister, the minister of the interior, the city's governor, Rabbi Yisroel Meir Lau from Israel and others. After the ribbon was cut, the public figures were invited to take part at a festive meal in the synagogue while the huge crowd in the lot enjoyed an performance of Reb Avrohom Fried. "Today we may announce proudly that the plans of the Nazis to destroy the Jewish nation has collapsed", said Rabbi Yisroel Meir Lau in a moving tone.
