Rosh Hashana in Bratislava
Under the leadership of Rabbinical College
of America
Alumnus Rabbi Boruch Meyers

On the first day of Rosh Hashana, over 40 people joined together at the Chabad Center in Bratislava, Slovakia, for an inspiring program.

Because the High Holy Days are on weekdays this year, the program was called for late afternoon to enable all those who were in school and work during the day to join in these special Mitzvos.

The crowd enjoyed a beautiful sing-along of traditional Yom Tov Tefillos by Rabbi Zev Stiefel, which was followed by Tekias Shofar.

There was a simultaneous children’s program in which the children enjoyed many fun-filled, holiday-related games and activities.

Following Tekias Shofar, everyone enjoyed a full buffet of traditional Rosh Hashana foods.

It was a beautiful Kiddush Hashem to see such a large crowd joining together at the Danube River to symbolically throw away their sins during the Tashlich ceremony.
