Valley Chabad Hosts Clothing and Toy Drive to Benefit Shelters

Woodcliff Lake – The temple running its annual Holiday Children's Clothing and Toy Drive to benefit three northern New Jersey shelters.

Through Dec. 7, individuals can drop off new and unwrapped infant and toddler clothing, as well as toys, at several participating locations: Valley Chabad offices, 20 Craig Road, Montvale; Capello Hair Salon, 140 West Allendale Avenue, Allendale; Sydney Madison Salon, 289 Westwood Avenue, Westwood; Society Men, 256 Westwood Avenue, Westwood and CStubs, 155 Chestnut Ridge Road, Montvale. Also participating is Bergen Community College's Hillel in Paramus.

The drive will culminate on Dec. 11, with a Holiday Shelter Drive Community Bagel and Wrap, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Park Ridge High School Cafeteria.

Valley Chabad is also accepting donations on its website for the purchase of clothing and toys.

Valley Chabad CTeens will be taking part in the decoration of donation boxes, and in the collection and gift wrapping effort. CTeen, a teen group recently created by Youth Directors Rabbi Yosef and Estie Orenstein, provides an environment where teens learn about themselves and their heritage by giving to others and participating in community based, hands on projects.
