Rabbi Seligson's Farbrengen
This past Vov Tishrei, commemorating 40 years since Rebbitzin Chana's passing, Harav Michoel Seligson, farbrenged at Yeshiva Tiferes Bachurim in Morristown NJ. The event was a great success. Approximately 120 bochurim from Tiferes and Tomchei Yeshivos, respectively, participated.
Among the different thoughts relayed by Rabbi Seligson to the assembled bochurim, were a number of stories about the Rebbetzin Chana. The Rebbetzin had a custom to turn on all the lights in her house immediately after Shabbos.
On the last Rosh Hashana before her histalkus, the Rebbetzin told Rabbi Junik, "You don't know what you have," (referring to her son, the Rebbe) "and I am saying this, not as a mother." On the 2nd day of that Rosh Hashana, a fire broke out in the women's shul burning the Rebbetzin's chair.
The farbrengen concluded in the early hours of the morning.
Rabbi Lew's Farbrengen
On Monday night - 23rd of Menachem Av, Rabbi Shmuel Lew spoke at a Farbrengen in Tiferes Bachurim of Morristown. Coming from the Rebbe's camp - CGI Parksville, NY, Rabbi Lew put the gathering onto a spiritual high!
There was a Q&A session at the end where the following was asked: "Rabbi, I encourage people on Mivtzoim to write to the Rebbe, but they complain that they receive no response!! What should I say?"
"A Baal Habos of mine, told me the same thing, said Rabbi Lew. So I asked him: "When you received no response from the Rebbe, what did you do about your problem?" "It eventually just worked itself out."
"Ahahhh! exclaimed Rabbi Lew, "this is where the answer lays, the Rebbe ALWAYS responds!! It is us however who sometimes don't realize that it is his doing!" .
