12/12/2006 Fair Lawn, NJ: Town Council voted 4-1 in favor of the inclusion of a Menorah in its holiday Display. This ends over 20 years of petitioning the the municipal government for the inclusion of a Menorah for a town with a 40-45% Jewish population.

MONROE — The Chabad Jewish Center of Monroe's fourth annual menorah lighting was both a joyous and somber occasion. Celebrants acknowledged the 49 New Jersey service members killed in Iraq while honoring centuries' old Jewish tradition yesterday.
Chabad’s 41 centers throughout New Jersey, affiliates of the Rabbinical College of America, are abuzz with activity and growth, as are Chabad centers throughout the world. Several major facility expansions are now under way and in the planning stages.
